I’m Jessica Croft, a mixed media artist residing in southern Alabama. At the heart of my work is the intention of resourcefulness - using what is found or already exists in the world to create meaningful interesting new work. All the paper and textiles in my work come from my local thrift stores, estate sales or from friends and family.

I first started paper collage in 2017, creating with books my kids read to pieces but I couldn’t bear to toss. Today, my practice involves both paper collage and textile collage. The medium is different but the idea is the same - using what I find around me. I’m always interested in how color, pattern and texture interact together.

I reside in my hometown of Mobile with my husband and our children.
